MEET ‘WISHBONE’ THE WHIPPET (Above)

The muse behind the company. Since her arrival home at just 9 weeks old, she has given us endless love, laughs, and inspiration. In typical Whippet fashion, she adores relaxing, either wrapped up in a blanket or flopped somewhere soaking up the sunshine, but she's never more than a few feet away from any action (or food!).

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The idea for Toebean Balm came from Wishbone's first few weeks of outside walks. Her soft little puppy paws began to be replaced by what can only be described as sand paper! After researching paw balms, We quickly realised that most didn't list all of their ingredients, lots contained things that are potentially harmful to dogs and far too many contained things that we wouldn't use on our own skin, so why would we use them on her's?

Lots more research into dog safe ingredients ensued until we had a formula that we were proud of. Our balm soon became a firm favourite amoungst our dog friends and their owners. And the rest, as they say, is history.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are a small, female owned and managed business based in London, United Kingdom, and produce our balms in small batches to retain freshness without the need for added chemical preservatives.

We believe that our canine companions deserve products that are held to standards as high as, if not higher than, those for humans.

Therefore, we only use human grade ingredients, and we are fully transparent about every single ingredient we use. That means every ingredient is listed most to least, just like human products and our labelling is clear, not just a list of long Latin names.

We will never knowingly use ingredients that are damaging to our dogs or to our environment and will never, ever, test our products on animals.

Wherever possible, we will source our ingredients from local businesses to reduce our carbon footprint and will always strive to use the most environmentally friendly items and practices.
